Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Stamped "CA," Charlie Averett, Crawford County, GA, late 19th century, cylindrical jug with narrow spout, covered in a streaky olive-colored alkaline glaze. Handle impressed with "CA" maker's mark. Excellent condition with only minor flaws: a few minor spout nicks, some small pieces of in-the-firing residue to surface, a minor in-the-firing ping to one side, some minor in-the-firing chipping to underside at edge, and some residue to underside. H 15 1/2".
