Three-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Advertising Jug, Stenciled "C.G. TAYLOR / PETERSBURG. Va.," attributed to A.P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, WV, circa 1880, semi-ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, featuring a stenciled "3" within geometric border, a band of geometric stenciling, and stenciled advertising for merchant, C.G. Taylor. Spout chips. Shoulder with two in-the-firing contact marks. A salt drip to shoulder and reverse. Minor wear to reverse. H 15 1/4".
