Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "RICHEY & HAMILTON. / PALATINE. / W.VA.," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring Richey & Hamilton maker's stenciling along with stenciled flourishes, a stenciled "2" flanked by floral devices, and freehand stripes at the shoulder and base. Additional stenciled "2" flanked by floral devices on reverse. Very nice condition with some minor wear and light staining to surface. H 11 3/4".
