One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG .PA," circa 1865, ovoid jug with tapered spout, brush-decorated with a tulip bearing large stamens. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. A small spout chip. A few in-the-firing contact marks to surface. Staining to surface. H 10 3/4".
