Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Iron-Dipped Decoration, attributed to John Swann, Alexandria, VA, circa 1815, ovoid form with tooled shoulder, flared rim, and arched tab handles, the upper body with dipped iron-oxide decoration. Vertical lines to base area. A few small base chips. A filled 1 3/8" chip to side of rim. A 1 3/8" chip to top of rim. H 12 3/4".
