Scarce One-and-a-Half-Gallon Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Stamped "J. SWANN / ALEXA," Alexandria, VA origin, circa 1820, ovoid jug with tooled shoulder, impressed with John Swann maker's mark at shoulder. Missing handle. A shallow 1/2" chip to underside at edge. Some in-the-firing pings to surface. H 12 1/2".
