Scarce Two-Gallon Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Stamped "P. McCOY," Randolph County, NC origin, third quarter 19th century, ovoid jug with semi-rounded mouth, the shoulder impressed with Paschal McCoy maker's mark below a two-gallon capacity mark. Exfoliation to underside. A 1 1/4" flake to shoulder. Some light surface wear near midsection on sides. A small piece of adhered clay to front and handle. Two minor base chips. H 14 1/2".
