Rare Quart-Sized Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Stamped "ELI.SEBASTIAN," Wilkes County, NC, fourth quarter 19th century, ovoid jug with tooled shoulder, tall spout, and semi-rounded spout, the shoulder impressed with the maker's mark of potter and minister, Eli Sebastian. Exceptional size. A hairline across underside, extending to base of handle on reverse. A tiny in-the-firing fissure to side of handle. H 8".
