Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jugs with Wheeling, WV Advertising, Western PA origin, 1880, a half-gallon jug semi-ovoid jug and a one-gallon cylindrical jug, both stenciled "J.T. GOODWIN & CO. / WHOLESALE / DRUGGISTS. / WHEELING. W. VA." Smaller jug with two glazed-over chips to handle and a small glazed-over chip to underside at edge. Larger jug with an in-the-firing chip to spout, some traces of old paint to underside, a faint 2 1/4" line to underside, some in-the-firing crazing to shoulder, and a few in-the-firing contact marks including a recessed spot with adhered clay. H (of shorter) 10 1/8".
