Rare and Fine Anna Pottery Stoneware Figure of a Spaniel, attributed to Wallace and Cornwall Kirkpatrick, Anna, IL, circa 1880, molded figure of a spaniel on oval mound base, decorated throughout with brushed manganese-slip highlights, a cobalt-slip collar, and cobalt-highlighted base. Surface covered in a heavy salt glaze. Only a small number of Anna examples of this form are known. The impressive size and colorful glazing on this work make it as visually-appealing as it is rare. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 13 3/4".
