Quart-Sized Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Harrison Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1860, ovoid, thin-walled pitcher with footed base and tooled collar, brush-decorated with a two-stemmed tulip plant extending up the front. Swag decoration to collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Desirable small size. A tight Y-shaped line in underside, forming a faint, approximately 4" tall Y-shaped line on left side of pitcher's front. A minor, shallow rim chip on reverse. A minor in-the-firing ping below handle. A glazed-over base chip. H 6 7/8".
