Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar, Stenciled "Knox, Haught & Co. / Shinnston. W.Va," circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded "wax sealer" rim, featuring diagonal Knox, Haught & Co. maker's stenciling. An adhered piece of clay to left of maker's stenciling. A minuscule nick to inner wax sealer rim. Some staining to base area and reverse. H 8 3/8".
