Scarce Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar with Proctor, WV Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1880, tapered jar with semi-squared "wax sealer" rim, featuring the scarce stenciled advertising, "MICHAEL MOORE. / GEN. STORE / Proctor. W. Va." A few rim chips. Fry and some faintness to cobalt. Minor surface wear. A small drip of Albany slip to shoulder on front. H 10".
