Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar, Stenciled "A. CONRAD / NEW / GENEVA / FAYETTE / CO. PA.," circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded "wax sealer" rim, featuring Alexander Conrad maker's stenciling flanked by stenciled floral motifs. Faintness to stenciling on left side. Surface wear. A small rim chip on reverse. A tiny chip and wear to inner wax sealer rim. H 8 1/4".
