Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar with Wheeling, WV Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1880, tapered jar with rounded "wax sealer" rim, featuring the rare stenciled cobalt advertising, "STAR GROCERY / CONNER / & / WILLIS. / 1330 MARKET / WHEELING. W.VA." A small chip to interior of rim and three minor nicks to inner wax sealer rim. Minor surface wear. H 8 1/8".
