Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Baltimore, MD Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring the stenciled advertising, "D.F. HAYNES & CO. / CROWN BRAND / BALTIMORE, M. D," surrounding a stenciled cross with cross finial. Stenciled "2"with flourishes below. Cobalt stripes to shoulder and base. A 3" x 2" crack on underside, forming a 2 3/4" Y-shaped crack at base and a 1 1/4" crack at base, both on the jar's right side. Minor fry to cobalt. H 12 3/8".
