One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "BUFFALO NY. / C.W. BRAUN," circa 1870, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a bird with cross-hatched tail, perched on a stem. Excellent condition with exfoliation to interior base and a few very minor in-the-firing flaws to surface. H 9".
