Stoneware Chicken Waterer with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1880, domed form with button-shaped finial and applied watering trough with carved opening; brush-decorated with a floral motif at the shoulder on the front and reverse, a highlight to the finial, and arched daubs around the opening. A large network of lines to left of trough. Two small chips to edge of opening and a chip to base of trough. A chip to finial on reverse. A 5/8" in-the-firing fissure to top of trough. Some bubbling to cobalt. H 7 3/4".
