One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1870, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, brush-decorated on the front and reverse with a series of conjoined foliate devices. Dash decoration below handles. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A 1" flake to interior of rim. H 9 1/4".
