Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled collar, brush-decorated with a large tulip flanked by swags. Additional swag decoration to collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Very nice condition with some discoloration to body, a tiny rim chip on reverse, and a few faint surface lines to underside (not visible on interior) including one line extending a few inches up side of pitcher and two very short lines extending onto foot. H 11".
