Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, ovoid pitcher with tooled rim, brush-decorated with a large double-stemmed clover plant emanating from the base. Swag decoration to spout. Highlights to handle terminals. As-made condition with an in-the-firing surface chip to front, a small in-the-firing chip to top of rim, and a dark, smooth, in-the-firing contact mark to left side. H 8 3/4".
