Tanware Pitcher, New Geneva or Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1880, ovoid pitcher with flared collar, brush-decorated in Albany slip with a sweeping fuchsia vine design. Dash decoration to collar and spout. Stripe decoration to rim, base of collar, and base of pitcher. Dash decoration to handle and highlights to handle terminals. A 5/8" rim chip on reverse. A shallow in-the-firing contact mark to top of rim including a small, adjacent in-the-firing chip to side of rim. Some staining. H 9 1/4".
