Fine Manganese-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar, attributed to George Newman Fulton, Alleghany County, VA, circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with flared collar, brush-decorated with a central flower with fan-shaped blossom, surrounded by numerous additional blossoms and swags. A Y-shaped crack across underside, part of which extends 2 1/2" up front of jar. Expected light wear to interior of rim. H 9 1/8".
