Suitland, MD Tanware Advertising Jug, Western PA origin, Dated 1879, reddish-clayed, cylindrical jug featuring the stenciled Albany slip advertising, "S.T. SUIT / SUITLAND, MD. / LITTLE BROWN JUG / THE WHISKEY IN THIS JUG / WAS MADE 1869 / AND JUGGED BY ME IN 1879". Very nice condition with a tiny in-the-firing ping to right side, an in-the-firing contact mark to reverse, a minor base chip, and three minuscule base nicks. H 7 3/4".
