One-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX. / HARRISBURG . PA," circa 1865, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with a stem bearing three flower blossoms. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. Shallow chips to interior of rim. Front with a 5" hairline and 2 1/2" Y-shaped hairline. Scratches to interior base. H 7".
