Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, American, third quarter 19th century, a milkpan with brushed swag decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1845; paired with a cake crock with slip-trailed leaf decoration, stamped "E & L P NORTON / BENNINGTON VT:." Milkpan with glued cracks in underside, extending onto base. Norton crock with a top-to-bottom crack from rim on side of crock, extending onto underside, a shorter thin crack from rim on front, a tiny chip to interior of rim, and staining. Dimensions (of cake crock): H 5 1/4" ; Diam. 10".
