Four Pieces of Stoneware, American, 19th or early 20th century, a molded, Bristol-slip-glazed jug, marked "E.H. ROCHE, / WINE MERCHANT, / 119 Woodward Ave. / DETROIT, - MICH.;" a one-gallon jug with slip-trailed leaf motif, stamped "A.B. WHEELER & CO., / 69 Broad Street, / BOSTON, MASS.;" an ovoid jar with swag decoration, maker unknown; and an ovoid, tall-collared jar with brushed swag decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875, retaining an old metal lid. Jars with cracks. Chips and thin cracks to wine jug. Wheeler jug with minor spout chips, residue to surface, and two short, in-the-firing fissures to handle. Jars with cracks. A minor in-the-firing chipped section to base of larger jar. Smaller jar with chip to interior of rim. H (of tallest) 11 1/2".
