Small-Sized Stoneware Jug with Iron Slip Decoration, Stamped "CHARLESTOWN," Frederick Carpenter, Charlestown, MA, early 19th century, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled base and spout, decorated with dipped iron-oxide slip decoration to the upper body and base. Shallow base chips, some of which are glazed over. A flake to midsection on front. Typical, minor in-the-firing flaws to surface. H 10 3/8".
