Three Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Beaver, PA origin, third quarter 19th century, a four-gallon semi-ovoid jar with brushed floral decoration, stamped "E. FOWLER / BEAVER,PA;" a three-gallon ovoid jar with brushed foliate decoration flanked by banding, stamped "J. WEAVER," Beaver, PA origin; and a four-gallon semi-ovoid jar with brushed flowering plant motif, stamped "J. WEAVER." Fowler jar with water glass staining to interior and exterior. Three-gallon Weaver jar with in-the-firing losses to bottom edge, surface wear, and a crack from rim on front and reverse, descending to midsection. Four-gallon Weaver jar with wear to cobalt and surface, a filled and colored handle chip, shallow chipping to one handle, two in-the-firing chips to interior of rim, and small chips to inner rim for lid. H (of four-gallon Weaver jar) 14 5/8".
