Three Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875, a canning jar with "wax sealer" rim featuring curved James Hamilton maker's stenciling surrounding a leaf; a one-gallon jar with stenciled shield motif, stenciled "T.F. REPPERT. / SUCCESSOR / TO / J. HAMILTON & CO. / GREENSBORO. PA," circa 1880; and a two-gallon jar with freehand cobalt decoration, stenciled "T.F. REPPERT. / GREENSBORO. / PA." Canning jar with two small base chips and light staining. One-gallon jar with light surface wear, in otherwise excellent condition. Two-gallon jar with wear to cobalt, grease staining to surface, and some blue paint to interior. H (of smallest) 8 1/4".
