Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug with Baltimore, MD Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, semi-ovoid jug with tooled spout, featuring the stenciled advertising, "JOHN G. MEDINGER / AGENT. / BALTIMORE, MD." Freehand decoration above and stenciled decoration with "2" below. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A large, tight X-shaped crack on reverse, part of which continues onto front. H 14 1/4".
