Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars with Alexandria, VA Advertising, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1880, a half-gallon and one-gallon jar, each featuring stenciled advertising for "E.J. MILLER & SON. / DEALERS IN / CHINA AND / QUEENS WARE. / ALEXANDRIA. VA." Shorter in excellent condition with dryness to stenciling. One-gallon jar with some wear to cobalt as well as staining and discoloration to surface. H (of shorter) 8 5/8".
