Two Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jars, VA origin, 19th century, a one-gallon undecorated jar, stamped "B.C. MILBURN / ALEXA," Alexandria, VA origin, mid 19th century; paired with a one-gallon ovoid jar brush-decorated with an elaborate cobalt floral motif on front and reverse, probably Washington County, VA origin. Milburn jar in excellent condition with a minor in-the-firing ping to underside. other jar with a 2 3/8" loss to rim, a smaller rim chip, and warping to rim and body. H (of Milburn jar) 8 3/4".
