Three Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, attributed to the Remmey Family, Philadelphia, PA, second half 19th century, all of cylindrical form with brushed designs, the largest jar with three drooping tulip motifs, the two smaller jars with swag and foliate motifs. Tallest with rim chips, hairlines to body and underside, and a salt drip. Swag-decorated jar with cracked section to underside and Y-shaped crack to base area, including a reglued piece, a small in-the-firing chip to top of rim, two adjacent glazed-over chips to base, and two short lines to base. Foliate-decorated jar with two small rim chips and a 1 1/4" rim chip. H (of tallest) 11 1/4".
