Three-Gallon Albany, NY Stoneware Advertising Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, NY State origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with tapered spout, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a crested bird perched on a spotted leaf. Impressed "J.J. LAWLOR, / ALBANY, N.Y." above. Cobalt highlights to advertising and capacity mark. Fry to cobalt. Some shallow chipping to spout. Faint lines to top of spout. A 1 3/4" in-the-firing flake to bottom edge. H 16".
