Two Small-Sized Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to the Henry Harrison Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, second and third quarter century, both of similar rotund form with brushed circumferential floral decoration, the smaller made circa 1855, the larger circa 1835. Smaller jar in excellent condition with in-the-firing mottling to surface, a small rim chip, and a few unglazed in-the-firing contact marks. Larger jar in excellent condition with small flakes to underside and some light staining. H (of smaller) 6 1/2".
