One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BELL," Waynesboro, PA origin, circa 1850-1880, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and squared rim, the surface coated in a light-colored slip and brush-decorated around the shoulder with four spotted tulips in the Bell style. One rim chip. Two in-the-firing chips to top of rim, measuring 1 1/8" and 3/4". A shallow 1 5/8" in-the-firing flake to underside. A small in-the-firing chip and contact mark to shoulder. H 8 7/8".
