Large-Sized Glazed Redware Mug, Stamped "JOHN BELL," Waynesboro, PA origin, circa 1840-1880, cylindrical mug with footed base, tooled rim, and ribbed handle, the surface decorated with sponged manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Recessed underside impressed with John Bell maker's mark. A 3" hairline from rim. Two small rim chips and light wear to rim. Light wear to handle. A small in-the-firing ping near base and at rim. H 5 3/4".
