One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Stamped "W.B. KENNER / STRASBURG, VA," circa 1880, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, brush-decorated with a large design of a two-stemmed clover plant, likely executed by the Baltimore-trained potter, George Henry Davidson. Shoulder impressed with W.B. Kenner merchant stamp. Tiny chips around rim. Otherwise excellent condition. H 10 1/4".
