Rare Redware Flowerpot Saucer, Signed "L.B. Wagner / Mfg / 1899 / 4m," Landon B. Wagner, Carbon County, PA origin, 1899, wheel-thrown unglazed flowerpot saucer with coggled rim. According the 1900 U.S. Federal Census, Landon B. Wagner (b. 1862) was a "pottery work[er]" living in Franklin Township, Carbon County, PA. He is likely the son of well-known Carbon County redware potter, George Wagner. Among the few hand-signed pieces of Wagner family pottery known. Excellent condition with a tiny nick and tiny in-the-firing ping to rim and minor spots of old white paint. Diam. 3 3/4".
