Molded Stoneware Pitcher with Eagle Motif, probably American Pottery Company, Jersey City, NJ, circa 1838-1850, hexagonal pitcher with upswept spout and elaborate handle, decorated around the midsection and collar with a relief spread-winged eagle motif including a branch and star. Albany-slip-glazed surface. A base chip on reverse. A minor, glazed-over base chip. A small flake near base on reverse. Tiny chips to rim and spout. A faint surface line on underside, not visible on interior. Minor wear to interior base. A tiny chip to thumb rest on handle. H 10".
