Two NJ Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Floral Decoration, second half 19th century, both of two-gallon capacity and cylindrical form with similar brushed floral motifs, one stamped "CONNOLLY & PALMER, NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J.," the other stamped "PRUDEN & OLCOTT, / 185 DUANE-ST N. Y." Connolly & Palmer jug in excellent condition with slumped spout, in-the-firing flake at base on reverse, and some minor fry to cobalt. Other jug with partially glazed-over iron ping to front and minor staining. H (of taller) 14".
