One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Harrison Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1850, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled rim, brush-decorated with two large flowering plant designs flanking a central foliate device. Cobalt swag decoration to collar and flanking the spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A very large reglued section to front/left side/underside of pitcher, which is colored along the break. A tiny rim chip to reverse. A minor in-the-firing spout chip. A thin, 1 1/4" restored rim chip. H 10 1/2".
