Two Pieces of Glazed Redware, PA origin, 19th century, a lidded cylindrical jar, its lead-glazed surface decorated with manganese slip circles and swags, further accented with copper slip daubs. Manganese decoration to original redware lid. Paired with a lead-glazed bowl with splashed manganese decoration. Jar with chips and wear to rim and base, wear to edge of shoulder, and light surface wear. Lid with significant losses, loose pieces of which are included with this lot. Bowl with short, wide surface cracks to exterior, a base chip, a rim chip, and light wear to rim. H (of jar) 8 1/2" ; H (of bowl) 2 3/4" ; Diam. (of bowl) 7 3/4".
