Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Freehand Stripe Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1870, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and incised banding to midsection, brush-decorated with six straight and wavy stripes across the front. A 7 1/4" diagonal surface line to front, descending from shoulder area, not visible on interior. H 11 3/4".
