One-and-a-Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Milkpan, Stamped "J. KEISTER & CO. / STRASBURG, VA," circa 1870, flaring pan with tooled rim, applied lug handles, and pouring spout, decorated on the front and reverse with a brushed swag motif. Reverse impressed with diagonal J. Keister & Co. maker's mark. A thin, approximately 8 1/2” horizontal crack at base, which connects to very thin T-shaped line extending across underside. A small rim chip, minor rim and spout wear, a minor nick to bottom edge of rim, and two minor chips to one handle. H 6 1/2" ; Diam. 10 3/4".
