Slip-Decorated Redware Plate, Inscribed "Mince Pie," attributed to the Smith Pottery, Norwalk, CT, second quarter 19th century, with coggled edge, the lead-glazed interior featuring the slip-trailed yellow-slip inscription, "Mince Pie." Provenance: From a recently-surfaced CA collection. Heavy chipping along left edge of plate. A few other rim chips. Deep flakes to interior. Minor wear to interior. Diam. 11 1/8".
