Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Beaver, PA origin, third quarter 19th century, a one-gallon semi-ovoid jar with brushed foliate motifs on front and reverse, paired with a two-gallon cylindrical jar with brushed foliate motif, the latter impressed, "McCAREL & BURNS / RICHMOND. O." One-gallon jar with a large chip to exterior of rim, a smaller chip to interior of rim, heavy surface wear, and minor wear to inner rim for lid. Two-gallon jar is out-of-round with nicks to interior of rim and some water glass staining. H (of larger) 9 1/8".
