Two Fort Edward, NY Stoneware Crocks with Cobalt Bird Decorations, late 19th century, a three-gallon crock with bird-on-branch motif, stamped "OTTMAN BRO'S / & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," circa 1879-1889; paired with a three-gallon crock with turned-head bird-on-branch motif, stamped "HAXSTUN & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," circa 1874-1882. Ottman crock with rim chips, a long Y-shaped line on front, and a small in-the-firing surface fissure at base on front. Haxstun crock with rim chips, two small adjacent handle chips, and a minor in-the-firing iron ping at base. H (of Ottman crock) 10 1/2".
