Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "I. SEYMOUR / TROY FACTORY," circa 1830, ovoid jar with tall collar and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed design of a flower emanating from a curved stem with leaves. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent condition with a few small Y-shaped lines to surface, not visible on interior. A streak of staining on reverse. H 13 3/8".
